| A group of high profile skating people, who are very passionate about the sport, coming from within the skating industry, including manufacturers, distributers, retailers and coaching expertise. Have formed an organization to promote & develop the sport within Asia.
As indications were, that growth has not happened, to match the sports potential, so the sport was in danger of stagnating in the Region, due to a number of factors.
Previously these people had invested a large amount of resources, to such stop gap ventures, as flying in competitors to prop up Asian legs of WIC Competitions, Paying there Nations FIRS Registration fees, so the countries skaters, could compete Internationally.
It was soon realized that short term gain, could end up long term pain, without an ongoing DEVELOPMENT PLAN based upon sound principles.
After a succession of meetings, involving well known International skating figure Bill Begg, he agreed that there was a lot of merit in the ideas put forward. He agreed to come on board, to provide Coaching Expertise for both skaters & coaches, also utilizing his vast experience & technical knowledge to help drive a big International competition.
